OpenFootlab is built around one principle: your foot record belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect, how it's used, and the control you keep over it.

Your record stays yours

The Foot Passport is an owned, portable record. Your photos, notes, checks, and history are yours to keep, export, and take with you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your foot photos or health information for advertising.

What we collect

To provide the service we collect only what's needed:

• Account details — name and email, so you can sign in and we can reach you.
• Foot record content — photos, notes, daily checks, footwear and offloading history, temperature observations, and wound history that you choose to add.
• Order details — foot scans and measurements used to produce a custom insert, if you order one.
• Basic usage data — limited technical logs to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use it

We use your information to maintain your Foot Passport, produce custom devices you order, respond to your messages, and keep the service secure. We process health-related information only to provide the features you're using.

Sharing — only at your direction

Your record is shared with a clinician or caregiver only when you choose to share it. We use service providers (for example, hosting and payment processing) strictly to operate OpenFootlab, under agreements that limit their use of your data. We disclose information only when legally required.

Storage & security

We use encryption in transit and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your record. No system is perfectly secure, but access is limited to what's necessary to run the service.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your record. Because the record is portable, you can take it with you or remove it at any time. To make a request, email us at build@openfootlab.com.
